Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance

Simplee Solar Ltd has recently started donating towards Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance in order to help maintain this worthy charity.

Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance launched in March 2000 and responds to a wide range of emergency call, on average 3 to 4 calls per day. These calls are organised by the Ambulance service.

Air ambulance is essential for difficult to reach locations where an ambulance cannot gain access. They are able to cover anywhere within the County within just 19 minutes and can reach a speed in excess of 100 miles per hour during flight, this making them an essential part of emergency response.

This emergency team require £3,500 per day for funding, this is supported by donations, volunteers fundraising and running their own lottery which currently holds 19,000 members. Without this support the Air Ambulance would cease to save lives!
